A deal on "rice paper" innersleeves

I was looking for some more innersleeves, since my last batch is nearly depleted. I also did not like the last bunch I had, which I bought from Bags Unlimited. Not only did one pack of them have seams that were splitting at the top, they were too large for the LP jackets. 500 of them today cost $175, so....ouch.

I took a chance. I figured with the return policy at Amazon, if these new ones weren't any good, I'd just ship 'em back. They have a 4.8 star rating (86% 5 stars, 10% 4 stars) so, what could go wrong?

Happy to say, they arrived today and they are perfectly good sleeves. They are just a hair thicker than those from Bags Unlimited and the plastic feels a little more "premium" if that's possible. They fit the LP jackets perfectly. Hopefully the other 497 of the 500 I bought are just as good. I also appreciate the arrows showing me which way is up.

Best of all, they were only $73.95 for 500. I considered getting fewer, but who knows what will happen to prices in the future? Since I'm cleaning a lot of records lately, I can go through 10 or 15 in an afternoon. And this will hold me for a while.

Look for Hudson Hi-Fi Anti-Static Vinyl Record Inner Sleeves - Protective Vinyl Record Inner Sleeve 500 Pack on Amazon. Even the "list price" of $80.99 is still less than half of what I've seen elsewhere.

I still might have to order elsewhere as I need some blank record jackets for a handful I've rescued from wet conditions, or in cases where I want to keep the original jackets safely stored away and put the wear on the cheap unprinted jackets instead. (Often, from box sets, as I hate dealing with them and storing them.)

Bought these very same sleeves during the pandemic when Sleeve City was out of their DiskKeeper audiophile inners (My personal fav). No complaints but I thought they were a little flimsier than I like - sometimes it's difficult to insert the sleeve into my covers without bending the corners. But hey who cares about a bent corner at that price. I did not buy 500 (!) though. Looks like a great deal.

Mine are thicker than my last batch from Bags Unlimited, so I'm happy about that (and sadly, have gotten used to that really thin plastic they were using).

250 sleeves was half the price, but the pack of 100 sleeves had a much higher price ($27). 500 is a bit much, but when I get a rare stretch of free time in the winter months and start cleaning a lot of records, I could go through at least 50 in a week. I also want to dig through more of my records stored in the basement and pull some out that I know I have, and some beaten old records my folks had, as there are a few things I'm looking for. And they will all need cleaning.

The more I am using these, and comparing to many different sleeves in other jackets, I am finding that these are just a hair thicker than all of them. They've been the easiest I've used, as far as putting them into the jackets.

I think it varies, though. These sellers may be sourcing sleeves from different plastics suppliers at various times, so while this batch might be good, a future batch could end up going back to flimsier plastic. Those Bags Unlimited sleeves, the more I'm coming across them now, are the flimsiest I've ever had, in addition to being just slightly too large...certainly the worst I've ever used. Yet newer ones in their online store have "Top" markings on them, so they may be better quality now as well.

I also bought some of their plastic outer sleeves. They looked a little snug at first, but I've had no problem using them on gatefolds, and the slimmer of the 2-LP sets I have. I have yet to try a fatter gatefold jacket, but this seems to fit just about all of the records I would use them with.
