Robert Resnik's great program All the Traditions on "Vermont Public" (the erstwhile VT Public Radio, now together under one management umbrella with VT Public TV -- and a great improvement for the latter). This is Sunday evening appointment listening for us. As it happens, Mrs. H is out of town this weekend, so I am, atypically, listening upstairs on the big hifi, and (even more atypically) via a little Sangean HDT-1 "HD" (hybrid digital) AM/FM stereo tuner... and the sound is - incredible.
If you've never heard the Fairfield Four, this version of Roll Jordan is amazing, and it sounds amazing. Their incredible bass was in the room.

The whole set of music was outstanding, musically and sonically. Besides the aforementioned Roll Jordan, Rhiannon Giddens' Birmingham Sunday was just... Wow. She is such a mammoth talent, and it's a fabulous song.
