Feria de audio argentina

A periodic small-scale, free-entrance meeting promoted by the authorities of the city of Buenos Aires, on historical buildings.

It took place last Sunday: http://www.feriadeaudioarg.com.ar/

Lots of DIY, small scale local tube amplifier designers and lots of interested people. I took the pictures just before most people came in, as I knew it was going to be very crowded. The best note was the presence of several EE students taking to the local audio designers.

Outstanding report, guiller :)

Some seriously cool audio equipment at that show.

Anything catch your ear?

Thanks for the comments!

Among what is not affordable for me, the Wilson gear. But I enjoyed the Solid Tech racks visible in the first pictures. The Sonneteer Alabaster is a great integrated amp, and among the projects for next year. Either this or a Mastersound 300b, but I still need to try the later with my ATC speakers (low efficiency).

I'd like to know more about the big VAC amplifier with 8x 300B's. Hopefully you got to hear that one. Is that a parallel push-pull arrangement?

That is certainly one expensive amplifier to retube. :)

A great post, thank you. I tend to turn into Pavlov's dog when I read reviews like this. And what a terrific thing for Buenos Aires to support! What are the black speakers on stands?

Didn´t have the time to listen to that beast! I had to leave rather early due to family constraints! When I showed into that stand, they were still preparing some of the stuff.
