Kind of a shot in the dark here for a local sale (Southeast Michigan, though NE Ohio or Chicago might be possible?)
A pair of excellent condition, all-black, Quad ESL-63PROs, serviced apx 10 years ago by Electrostatic Solutions (by previous owner, sadly I don't think I have the paperwork for this but they could probably look up the serial #). Electronics completely restored, panels all new.
The 63pro was the professional monitor version of the Quad 63 made for Philips to do location monitoring of classical music recordings, then offered as a model to others. They have a beefed up protection circuit so as to handle more power, they have stiffer frames, they have side handles for carrying...these changes were eventually put in the consumer model to become the Quad 63 USA Monitor.
These are in great condition. No weird noises, no arcing. They can handle pretty much whatever amp you put in front of them within reason (I had a 400wpc on them for a while, with careful management of volume control...no problems. They didn't clamp down. Their ideal amp here was a 30wpc Class-A Pass Aleph 30...so no, you don't need a lot of power for them. Just the right voltage source. The Pass Aleph 30 was a near-perfect match.
They are not as picky nor as fragile as 57s.
Placeholder old photo of one of mine. They still look the same:
$2000 (edit) The Electrostatic Solutions restoration service on 63s is currently $2000, I was told most or all of the full service was done but I have not checked. They sound as-new to my ears, I have never had a single issue.
There's nothing wrong with them, they sound amazing. One of the better speaker you will ever hear if you don't listen to as long as you don't listen to Dubstep. And even then, just add a fast subwoofer....these will take care of everything from about 60hz on up by my ears, very similar presentation and frequency range as Harbeth SHL-5s. They have more bass than their detractors say they do.
