Hey guys,
I got these amps from @Pat McGinty a while back and finally got them setup, BUT I'm going to go a little different direction now so I'm offering these up here. I had custom maple "drawer bases" made with dovetail constuction and a 1/4" plywood bottom, then I had a top plate made from baltic birch (which matches pretty well) CNC Machined for a PERFECT fit on the plates. I also designed and had custom binding post plates made out of aluminum and then powdercoated to match (very closely) the finish on the plates. I used some pretty nice binding posts and purchased brand new wiring harnesses from MiniDSP so there are no cuts or splices in them. The original harnesses had been cut down and were too short for what I needed.
I was planning on using these to work out different speaker configs on some of my DIY projects, but I am going to do something a little different and so these are up for sale.
In typical Woody fashion, I spent a lot on all the custom bits, plus a LOT of my time figuring it out. But now they are DONE. They sit on Hudson Hifi half-spheres to isolate them. They work fantastic. Even on high-efficency stuff they are very quiet and it's really cool to be able to play with the settings in nearly real-time on speakers. These are the same plate amps that are in my Meadowlark Kestrals which I purchased from @prime minister
I don't know what I spent on all this... but it was kinda a lot. Plug and Play. I know you DIY guys would have a ball with these.
