New Kickstarter project from Jerome Sabbagh for the album "Vintage"

For those of you who are interested, the fine folks at Jazzbums just interviewed me about "Vintage" and other things, including the all analog label I am creating. We talked about the music, getting a sound on the saxophone, Joe Henderson, the technical aspects of recording back in the day and now, pressing plants, etc. It's a free ranging conversation. I had a great time talking with them and I hope you enjoy. It's on their YouTube channel:

🤣 "No computers were harmed in the making of our recordings." 🤣

Excited about "Analog Tone factory"

Will the label be bringing us more jazz artists recorded in analog?
Any timing when we could expect another analog recording?
Thanks @RoadDawgWest!

Yes, there definitely will be more jazz recorded all analog. The first record has been recorded already. It's a new trio record on which I play with Joe Martin and the legendary Al Foster. Release date is September 6 at the latest. I will be communicating about that one and setting up pre-orders in the new few weeks. We are at the test pressing stage and the test pressings are great!

After that, I want to record someone else's band. I am talking to a couple of artists, but I can't make any announcements quite yet. I am aiming to have another record by the end of this year, and do two or three next year.

Stereophile's Alex Halberstadt just published a piece that talks about "Vintage", as well as my upcoming record "Heart" and the all analog label I am creating with Pete Rende, Analog Tone Factory. The piece also talks about Dave Slagle's autoformer based passive preamps, which certainly sounded great at Alex's place. I will also be going to Axpona and, among other things, will play and present the label in the darTZeel room. If anyone is going, please say hello!
