I may be overly critical, but it looks like whoever 'upgraded' that phono stage didn't know how to solder worth a damn.
i think the seller told me he sent it back to melos or MAR
btw, i just noticed this on google:
anyone know about this vendor?
EDIT: i found good mentions of this tech on audiogon and audiocircle, so likely to try him if i can't get the phono pre working. i'll clean the sockets and try reflowing some of the solder and see if that does it.
