yeah, except with bumble-bee stripe codes and stuff...A pun by any other name smells just as sweet....
I'm afraid they will look a lot like this:

Feel free to send the TC-500a along to me - I'll give it a good funeral.Darn this thread!!!! I’ve got a TC-500a waiting to be gutting and I’m already looking at more body’s to harvest....I mean audio equipment to gut.😅
You and me both, John. I'm talking Frankenstein - type things. Gutting a Fisher Coronet II Provincial console and putting it in a Zenith MCM console (don't worry, the donor ended up being bought for furniture purposes). I'm not ashamed - it was in the interests of science and interior decor.Oh, Mark, I’ve done terrible things... 😈
Been there, done that. So, I've been sorting through all my tubes in the last few days, prearing for having a tube tester. I've keeping an eye out for a trio of Hammond-labeled Mullard 7247 from a tear-down last fall. I found other tubes from the same organ, but no 7247s. I've tossed my office looking for them, to no avail.
Conclusion: knowing that there's no way I'd be parting with them, and wanted to keep them handy for my upcoming Dyna ST-35 refurb, I put them somewhere very, very safe. God help me.
Been there, done that.
Found 'em in a sock drawer.
Sorry - I should have specified, "Your mileage may vary"I’ll check the sock drawer!
I think I'm going to go put an 833 in the wife's sock drawer...
odd or even number of 'em?Woot! I found my socks!!
Sounds like a snippet from the lyric of a really bad blues song.I think I'm going to go put an 833 in the wife's sock drawer...
You tease! Not going to go into too much detail about today without having pics, but I can tell you that it involved a Uhaul truck and nine Jensen RP302...
You tease!
Is it 9 large form Jensen speakers?
That wouldn’t fit the theme of this thread!
I found a church two hours away that needed to turn their defunct Allen rig into space and Organ Fund, and I was happy to oblige.

I wound up renting a Uhaul and gutting out an organ console and six speaker cabinets. In addition to the aforementioned Jensen 302, I wound up with six CTS alnico 15”, four CTS ceramic 12”, a pair of Pyle Driver horns, twenty-seven (!) CTS alnico 6.5”, three DC power supplies, a DC motor, two crossovers, three inductors, and a power switch. In total, I’m out one day of screwing around and a lot less cash than it would take to buy one pair of RP302 on eBay.

The amps were long gone, but would have been solid state anyway.
I’m harvesting organs like it’s a tissue bank up in here!
You know how this movie ends, right? You'll get to the Pearly Gates, and there'll be a bunch of eviscerated electronic components* there, which will look at you, then at St. Peter, and intone, gravely, "Downstairs".My latest victim was a free ‘57 Lowrey. Yes, I harvested dozens of blackplate RCA 12AU7A, a number of 6SL7, and a pair of coke-bottle 6L6G.
But the real score was a pair of Jensen P10Q, which the guitar guys go crazy for.
I’m a bad, bad man.
