Thanks so much, gentlemen, for helping move so much great stuff along to homes where it will be better appreciated. The liberated funds are already hard at work in R&D, hopefully to bring much joy in the future.

The remaining stuff is mostly DIY.

L,C and R in stupid quantities. Solen 14ga Perfect Lay. Sidewinder 16ga nylon bobbin, Caddock MP930.

Canary Caps were wound to my spec by a dear friend who also madoe the caps branded Cardas, Auricap, Infinity Cap and several others. Let's just say he took special care of me on the quality side. These caps did have an OEM cost of $20-30 in hundred lots. So the retail would have been 5x that. 3.3mfd, 4.0, 5.0 7.0, 10.0, 15.0

I'm willing to make nice pricing with the understanding that we'd rather not do sub $100 orders - the UPS will kill you on tiny orders, anyway.

Any DIYers with interest in tackling an electrostat? Here are the panels, step-up xfmrs and high voltage bias supplies for the Stereophile 2005 Product of the Year, Innersound Kaya. Made the cover! $20K.


You can see how pretty the panels are here:

Panels are untouched, still in the factory wrapping. I ended up with these when I consulted Innersound on the high voltage circuit which had been giving them fits, failing in the field. These are the updated p/s,rock solid. 5KVDC watch your fingers!

The panel design is the brilliant work of Roger Sanders who defeated the corona point arcing issue that plagues other 'stat's panels by encapsulating the traces inside a PCB. Simple idea, very effective.

One would need to mate up to an LFsystem, which ought be a straightforward build. I can supply several recipes. $500 all.

Three pair of Cardas Gold Rhodium short posts - counts as By Two get One Free. $40 all. Keep in mind that min UPS is around 12.

Plus a very expensive four gang discrete resistor log taper pot. Can't recall the brand name, but several at $200 back in the 90s with the intent of building a balanced preamp, never did. Should be an excellent pot. Need to be at work, somewhere. $20.



Also, still have four Seas FU10RB 8ohm. $40/pr

Hi Pat. I'll take the Cardas binding posts - assuming I can add enough to hit your 100.

How about this; if you have the values needed, put together a bag of crossover parts to build a pair of the attached circuit (the 8ohm version).

Your best caps, air-core inductors and all caddock resistors - low power application. Replace the pot/pad in that circuit with caddocks, maybe include 3 values; the top middle and bottom of the range used in the original circuit. I'd probably take a full crossover pair including a second complete set of caddocks to build around my existing caps and inductors.

Might find more takers on these 'kits' here too. :)

I don’t need the second set of caddocks though.

Not to piggy back but also not to make it a sorting nightmare, how about a DIY Altec crossover bundle, a pair of each value caps/inductors with some common value caddocks in $100 and $200 bundles? I like to try different crossover points so this would work out great for me. Anyone else?
I'll take a $200 bundle if your up to it.

Yeah, I can hit those numbers. Please allow a little time, I'm slammed on the work side. Happily slammed. :)
 
Will take illuminator woofers. Also do you have caps, coils and resistors to make this crossover x4?

I'll say! Just me, I run the other way when I see antique audio. But, hey, I'm sitting on a hundred pounds, or so, of copper.

Anyway, there's a sweet symmetry in turning passive filter components $ into digital signal processors and NCores. Just lobbed a nice 24KW order over to the Hypex guys. Heh,heh....;) 700 of those Watts go into a certain pair of slender three ways.

Hey, anybody want a Wyred4sound modified Sonos Port? Brand new. I brought it in as a candidate to be included in our system sales. Nice everything including the Sonos app is maybe the best. But it's limited to 24/48 files and below. I'm spec'ing 24/192, min. If that limit works for anybody, I'll make you a nice deal. Wants to see your library on your network. Retail is $850.

Yeah I’d likely have to build a sub plate for the crossover just to house the coils then. But if we can put the inductors and resistors together, I can probably source exact caps at parts connexion.
 
Ahh what the heck, while we're at it....here is another design I've been wanting to build. Please add the parts for a pair of these to my order @Pat McGinty. I'm not big on bypass caps, but apparently JBL felt they are important. I'll trust your judgement on that one.

Btw, it is SO cool that you are doing this. Thank you so much!

Just got my box from Pat. 5" AMTs and more 7" ScanSpeaks than I know what to do with. Let the games begin!

(making a LXmini clone with redicilously over spec'ed parts, allready have a Seas stock pair to compare to)

Am trying to make the availability and pricing of the Ls, Cs and Rs easier and keep the pricing consistent. Here is a link to a spreadsheet that will be updated as parts leave:


The Ls will sell by weight at $6/lb - which is about twice the spot commodity price for copper, so cheap.
Canary Caps $1.30 per mfd.
Caddock Rs = $3ea.

I'll just add up all of your cap values, weigh the lot of inductors.

I also have some 20ga bobbins between 0.25Mh and 3.0mH, good enough gauge for shunts. If anyone's interested I'll add them the the speadsheet.
