With the new unexpected DAC purchase this displaces my Cambridge.

This is in excellent condition, 9/10. I bought it new, open box. It really is a great sounding piece. I never was tempted to use an external DAC with it. I found it really rich and musical and I think it's a tough piece to beat for the money.

It was a BIG BIG step up from my BluSound Node 2i's. Plus it has balanced outputs which is really why I wanted it. Read any of the many glowing reviews.

Current MSRP is $1299. I'm asking $800obro shipped for this one.

Dang that's a sweet device. Better than the node 2i? We talking analog outputs or wha?

The fact that they printed the connections both right side up and upside down to be viewed from the top is brilliant.

Just better than the Node 2i sonically overall. I don't think the internal DAC in the Node is very great. Once I ran my Node 2i's (I had 2 at one time) into external DACs and then just used them as streaming heads it was MUCH improved and showed me how weak the internal DAC was. It didn't take much to better it. I used them with my Topping D50s and with a Chord Mojo and both were WAY better.

The Cambridge is just sonically better overall. The dual Wolfson WM8740 chips in the Cambridge sound really good. I bought it for an all in one streaming solution that had balanced outputs (my main want) and also that had Tidal Connect and Spotify connect. It just sounded more open, more refined. It's not heavy, but it looks like a quality piece.

I would keep it, but I want to recoup the funds I just spent on this new DAC and start looking for a dedicated streamer to feed my Audio Mirror.

Thank you for the details, seems it rare that anyone directly A/Bs anything. I already have a standalone dac but have always wondered if the achilles heel of my digital front end was the node itself.

GLWS!

Hard to say if this will improve on your setup any. It's all subjective anyway, right?

This is a great solution to eliminate some cables/interconnects etc... and if you have balanced inputs on your preamp/integrated I do think that is an improvement.

It just checked ALL the boxes I was looking for when I was shopping. I've been content with it and the fact that it's replacement is just a DAC at nearly triple the price at retail says a lot. By the time I get the streamer figured into my rig and cables, it's going to be a MUCH MUCH more costly digital front end to really level me up. I really love the CXNv2, the praise is warranted.

Absolutely true. Honestly I just hadn't given it any real attention until your "review", which I genuinely appreciate.
