Anyone else celebrating this special day? For me, A Star Wars movie tonight, then a 4 hour drive tomorrow to see the reissue of The Phantom Menace in the theatre.

Not I, there's a certain game 7 on now.

What will you watch tonight ?
By popular consensus, ie. I was outvoted, the movie of choice was Attack of the Clones. It’s been a while since I have watched it, and it was dramatically better than I remembered it being. Totally stoked to see TPM tomorrow!

Day 4 of the May Vinyl Challenge: A record you would take with you into outer space.

Since I didn't have my favorite version of Holst's The Planets on wax, I opted for the Tomita album Kosmos, as beyond the first track, it's like a space fantasy with various pieces woven together. And coincidentally, the first track is Tomita's version of the Star Wars theme (which I admit is a bit corny, but what the heck).

....and that was the extent of it.

Meanwhile, outside Dr. Ben Dover's office, a mile up the main road from us:

That's Vader with the light saber in the middle of the pack...

I found this short video clip fascinating and entertaining. Near the end where Sir Alec does an impression of George Lucas' voice - great stuff.

Burlesque theater near my hotel in St Louis is having a Star Wars themed show today if anybody is interested.

Damn, that was a great movie. Just the sheer beauty of so many of the shots was mind blowing. Peak Hollywood, by way of San Francisco.
