Origin Live Encounter Arm

I'm finally upgrading my OL Silver-1 to an OL Encounter. I purchased from the OL Audiogon ad. It's very odd. I made the paypal transaction but received no e-mail from OL acknowledging the purchase. When I finally e-mailed them a week or so later, they informed me that they received the order and would notify me when it is sent. A few more weeks went by and I asked for an update. They then indicated the arm needed to be assembled. I hope and trust I will be happy with the product, however, the way they run business is strange and not very professional.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thoughts? It’s a killer arm. You will love how it works and sounds.

However, that is some seriously lousy customer service.

Thanks. I'm a DIY guy and my TT started as a VPI HW-19 MK II. Made a base from walnut, added a TNT delrin/ss platter, replaced springs with Herbie's and installed a first generation OL Silver (entry level) arm, added Pete Riggle's VTAF on the fly VTA adjuster. Crazy thing is...I have had friends tell me that my rig sounds better than much more expensive setups. I went from Dynavector DV-20X2H to Hana ML and am now considering the SS Zephyr MIMC Star. I have an embarrassing confession though...when fiddling around with setup, I had a cheek-flapping brain fart and hooked my Hana up to the 1:10 transformer backwards. Of course, it didn't take more than a few platter revolutions to fry the Hana. Expensive boo-boo.
