Damn. One of those guys I thought would be around forever. He certainly had to be up there in years.
I can't say I was a huge fan, but he did write some real gems, and the man certainly had some style.

Given how many artists have covered various Burt songs, it's pretty easy to find one that might appeal to just about anybody.

saw him in DC about 10 yrs ago. his voice was shot but he had a couple of youngsters who sang the heck out of his great tunes. RIP

Milpitas, CA. I-680 or I-880'd do the trick; Bob's your uncle. Work was in Sunnyvale -- a brutal commute across the northern fringe of the Silicon Valley on CA 237 (which wasn't a freeway in those days).
