Is your friend still having problems with the network server method?Which automatic script does the Sony s 590 use to rip SACD? Have you tried it here?
It is not a good idea to just quickly give up on that and assume AutoRip is the only answer, AutoRip has some limitations that the network server method does not. Getting the network server method sorted out first is really the right thing to do, and then setup a separate flash drive with the AutoRip script.
That said, the AutoRip version compatible with the S590 is A1neo. There is an instruction document included with that download, but care needs to be taken in not mixing up the AutoRip script with the script for the network server method.
They are all named AutoScript, and you can't change that folder name to differentiate it, it only works if called AutoScript. Usually the best way to keep them straight is to create subfolders to store them on the computer, and then use 2 separate USB flash drives, one for each method, and mark them clearly so you don't get confused as to which one is which.
Again, the best practice is to get the network server method fully working, there is no reason why it won't work if the instructions are carefully followed, and AutoRip is a piece of cake thereafter.
