Yes, definitely, but where it is available it doesn't seem to me it should be such a struggle to find it.What sucks, is not having any vaccines available.
Yikes. Being sandwiched between AZ and TX ain't always a comfortable place to be.Well, this is unsettling. My daughter works for a clinic in Arizona and just told me they had 3,000 untaken, open apponitment there. At first I thought they were no-shows, but she tells me they run 24/7 there and had 3,000 slots left open.
I read about the blood clot thing yesterday- it was something like 25 cases across 20 million vaccinations, which is actually lower than the natural incidence of blood clotting disorders amongst the general population so they don't even know that they're linked... and if they are, its a one in a million incident compared to apx 1 in 100 for death from the 'rona if you get it above a certain age.
Anyway, looks headed for quick approval here to add to the other ones, in the race towards total vaccination by June-July-sh. Fingers crossed.
I'd do it. Ceptin the border is closed! If I can claim you as a dependent, maybe I could squeak you in on my appointment later this week. 😁
It's open for "essential" travel. Whatever that means. Regardless, there are a couple of spots along the St. Clair River where one of us could float a kayak across and keep the getaway car idling.I'd do it. Ceptin the border is closed!
I think we're finally cresting the hill, since so much vaccine is becoming available in a short time period. Where appointments might have been once a week or (like our city) only twice in the past few weeks, I was easily able to make my appointment this afternoon once I finally navigated around the portal. I thought today would be really bad since they opened it up to everyone over 50, but apparently not--they still have some appointments available.Yes, definitely, but where it is available it doesn't seem to me it should be such a struggle to find it.
A buddy of mine lives in Aztec, and I don't recall if he's gotten his yet. However, he had COVID late last year or in January this year, and said it was the worst four weeks of his life...thankfully he wasn't hospitalized, but it was no cakewalk at home either.Where I live (New Mexico) you simply sign up with the Dept. of Health and when it's your turn they tell you where and when to get it.
Yep - I used to make the drive between Portland and Walla Walla all the time in the late 80s / early 90s.NE Oregon and SW Washington are quite similar.
My better half got her appointment at Beaumont in Dearborn. I think at the time, it was Dearborn and one other facility about the same distance away from us. (Plus, she has a craving to get shawarma from Al Ameer, so that kind of decided it for us. 😁)Well, when it rains it pours. We initially got appointments today 40 miles away, but Beaumont came through so we switched to Thursday because it's closer and a hospital, not a grocery store.
That is a bit more central. 197 north heading towards The Dalles. Almost to Maupin. Mike Gibson would be just a bit NW of there, but he has too much gravel for me to go there on the bike.Yep - I used to make the drive between Portland and Walla Walla all the time in the late 80s / early 90s.
Whereabouts in NE Oregon was that taken? Is that looking towards the foothills of the Umatilla National Forest?
Ah - north of Madras, south of Dufur. 👍That is a bit more central. 197 north heading towards The Dalles. Almost to Maupin. Mike Gibson would be just a bit NW of there, but he has too much gravel for me to go there on the bike.
Hey @prime minister remember Al Ameer ? Definitely worth decided on the vaccine based on proximity to Al Ameer .My better half got her appointment at Beaumont in Dearborn. The thoughts of that food scramble the brain.
I haven't eaten at the W. Warren location, but I am pretty sure they used to have a location in Canton on Haggerty Rd., just south of Ford Rd. We ate there together, while she's been to the W. Warren location many times with friends and her son. The Canton location used to be a Mountain Jack's decades ago, then was the Red Oak Steak House (with steaks grilled over oak, which IMHO had a strange taste) before it became something else (?) followed by Al Ameer. It shows as being vacant (as of August 2019), but the color scheme still kind of resembles the other Al Ameer locations. The thoughts of that food scramble the brain.
Indeed I do. A nice reward for putting up with vaccine lines.Hey @prime minister remember Al Ameer ? Definitely worth decided on the vaccine based on proximity to Al Ameer .
Is it the single shot or two parts? Would love the J&J single (first world problems).Well, this is unsettling. I drove that section of road a few times between mid-80's and early 90's, but always South-bound, since we were rafting the Deschutes. Put in was at Warm Springs, and take-out was usually at Maupin. I have always thought it would be an excellent ride on a motorcycle. That is a bit more central. 197 north heading towards The Dalles. Almost to Maupin.
