Does anyone know of audio shows & events that take place in California, Nevada & Oregan areas? Thinking I should attend as a vendor when the time comes. I'm sure regeneration for such events starts very early.
The San Fransisco one is called CAS California Audio Show.
I know about CES...but absoultly hate Las Vegas. + it's probably realy expenssive. I will look into the Denver show. And search for the T.H.E. show thank you for the tips.
Definitely expensive to show at CES plus the hotel rooms are silly expensive during the event. May not be too bad to fly down for the day and just attend to see how others are positioning their products?
The smaller regional shows may be the best way to start.
The problem with Vegas at CES time, is not the price of the rooms, so much as the lack of availability. When I went to CES, there was CES, and, in the same hotel, an AOV awards show for porn.
If you wanted to stay in timeshare, just behind the strip, prices are smaller, and there is more availability.
As an industry professional, CES and T.H.E. Show tickets are available to you. Early registration is pretty darn inexpensive, as I recall.
The other show that's starting to grow is the AXPONA, but it moves around the country.
I went to RMAF last year and it was a fantastic show. I didn't block off nearly enough time to see everything, as I just happened to be in town for work and a buddy of mine had a table there for his store, so I went, and was pleasantly surprised by the scale of it and the variety of gear on display. I actually don't love audio shows but I enjoyed this one. Axpona in Chicago...too bad they always stick it out by the airport. That's NOT Chicago.
